While all of the towns on the Amalfi Coast are stunning, Positano is arguably home to the most dramatic landscape. Essentially a vertically built town, this former fishing village is made up of pastel-colored homes perched on the cliffside, connected to the town center via winding staircases. At the foot of the cliff lies Spiaggia Grande, Positano’s main beach, lined with beachfront cafes and charming shops. The area’s best beaches, however, are those found in Positano’s many hidden coves, accessible only by boat. Rent a boat for a day—or several—to see Positano at its most enchanting.
Our villas in Positano feature bougainvillea-draped pergolas, multi-level outdoor terraces, private swimming pools, and gorgeous views. Like all of our villas in Italy, villas in Positano come with the option of a private chef or private cooking lessons, so you can enjoy the flavors of the Amalfi Coast even after returning home.
Because Positano is centrally located between Amalfi and Sorrento, a Positano villa is also a wonderful home base for exploring nearby coastal towns like Ravello, Minori, and Maiori or the island of Capri and Anacapri.
Amalfi Coast / Positano Area
It’s no wonder that the Amalfi Coast has become one of the main bucket-list destinations: Italy’s most scenic stretch of coastline boasts characteristic corniche winding roads, colorful terraced villages, striking sunsets and fascinating views over the crystal waters.
