Overview

The villa is in a quite location accommodating six guests and is partially air conditoned with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool.

This charming typically Provencal villa has an open view of the Luberon hills and it is a tastefully restored, ancient, rustic dry stone house with a 200 square meter living area set over one acre of partially wooded land and lawns.

A large living room with a beautiful view of the Luberon hills has a fireplace and an access to the sunny terrace. There is also a TV, a DVD player, CD Player, stereo, sound system, fireplace and air conditioning. There are many comfortable sofas and coffee tables. A large dining table for up to eight guests opens to the living room. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, dishwasher, oven, cooker, microwave, wine cellar, food processor, mixer, toaster, Nespresso machine, juicier mixer, coffee machine, small TV. There is laundry with a washing machine and ironing appliances.

On the garden level there are three bedrooms with two bathrooms. All bedrooms have an exit to the terrace.

There is a large sun terrace with a summer kitchen with a large table for 12 guests, equipped with an oven, a fridge, coffee machine, a bar, a dishwasher, BBQ, shower and WC. It overlooks the beautiful swimming pool. Around the pool are nine sun beds and umbrellas.

Villa Marie-Francoise is surrounded by some of the most stunning villages in the Luberon such as Gordes, Cabrières d'Avignon only three kilometers from the villa where there is a good restaurant, the bistro famously mentioned by author Peter Mayle, including a bakery, a butcher and a grocery store with excellent cheese. A further choice of good restaurants lie within about five kilometers of the house. There is an excellent farmers' market selling fruit, vegetables, flowers and wine in Coustellet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

The enchanting nearby villages of Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in the South of France, is on your doorstep and is well worth a visit. Its century old cobbled streets, tall stone houses built against the rock and the imposing castle are the unique setting for many art exhibitions and musical festivals taking place during the summer season

Other villages such as Menerbes, Fontaines de Vaucluse are an absolute must to visit as well if you are seeking to experience the essence of Provence. And don't miss the pretty village of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, with its canals, narrow streets and antiques market. For a change of pace, the wonderfully vibrant and historic town of Avignon, with its magnificent Palais du Papes, is one of the architectural wonders of Franc is just 35 kilometres away and would make an ideal day trip.
