Ideal spot for a family vacation and celebration. We had a marvelous nearly two weeks with 17 of our family at this beautiful property. It is located on the water but also has its own pool. Our group ranged in age from 2 to 76 with 8 children and 9 adults and everyone loved it. Everyone had plenty of room. The rooms were crystal clean and very comfortable. The staff was outstanding. Billie our Butler made amazing Rum Punch and met our every request with a smile and prompt delivery. We planned meals with the Cooks Tyrone and Winston and were elated with their recommendations. We had fresh fish galore, many local Bajan dishes and marvelous breakfasts meeting our vegetarian, no-pork desires for a few of our members.
Shauntell, our head Housekeeper was loving and funny and so professional. The kids loved her and she filled in for Billie on his days off. Carol kept all our rooms neat and beds made fresh daily. Kerry protected the place overnight and cleaned the pool each morning before the kids arose. Ksree kept the beautiful grounds immaculate and gave us botanical tours of the gorgeous property. We hired a steel band player one night which really added to the ambiance of the vacation spot. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and two birthdays while we were there. The cake the cooks delivered was beautiful. The owner called one evening to check that all was satisfactory. I appreciated that he really cared. All in all it was a magical time. In spite of COVID protocols to follow we felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed the easy walks to Speightston for local treats.
I encourage anyone reading to come enjoy the same experience we had. We plan to return.

A stay at 'Nelson Gay' unveils six decades of charm and sophistication, presented on two acres of mature and immaculately lush gardens. Located on a beautiful half-mile of beach on the outskirts of Speightstown, its surrounding waters and reef are a playground for swimmers and snorkelers.
The purely coralline creation was originally built as the home of a United States Ambassador in the 1950s, and reflects a Palladian grandeur, with 14-foot ceilings in the living room. To add to this, the villa's stunning 50-foot pool is positioned like a path from the center of the house that summons the sea on its farthest end.
This family-friendly villa has a bounty of restful spaces and formal or al fresco dining areas, including a delightful option to dine by candlelight. The dwelling features a predominantly white canvas—a compliment to the tropical landscape—and is accentuated with several unique pieces and antiques. The sleeping quarters are remarkably fresh and airy, with comfortable beds, quality cotton sheets and hypoallergenic pillows.
Further outside is a charming chattel house cottage, as well as an elegant garden gazebo complete with a wet bar. Two covered terraces on the north and south wing bedrooms offer additional privacy and comfort, while on the seaside, a large area in front of the house is roped off with buoys for safe swimming. By special request, the villa is transformed to accommodate 18 guests.
The staff will meet every need for a relaxing and exclusive family vacation. Children are welcome.
