Overview
Once you enter through Honu Ohana’s gates, you’ll be greeted by a lush and tropical courtyard perfect for outdoor dining, family game night, or simply for reading or relaxing on the covered lanai. You’ll breathe in the fresh island air, with notes of the tropical flora present in your breathtaking yard. The shaded pool offers a great way to cool off with your loved ones after long, lazy beach days or sightseeing around the Big Island. Right next to the pool area and garden you’ll find the “pool house suites”, which feature an additional kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sizable living room.
The first story features a large guest bedroom with private access to its En-suite and the outdoor entertainment area. Early mornings can be spent with your favorite cup of coffee, basking in the sunshine from the backyard, and readying yourself for yet another day in paradise. The living room on this level offers ample seating for you and your guests, with a large Smart TV and views of the pool and garden rounding out the space. Honu Ohana has plentiful windows and ceiling fans throughout, offering comfortable air circulation and gusts of tropical trade-winds.
Venturing upstairs, the final 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and bonus room can be found. The Master Suite maintains an En-suite, which opens up to a second lanai with a coveted peek-a-boo view of the ocean. Within the Master Suite, there’s a bonus room containing 2 twin beds, perfect for families with small children. The second upstairs bedroom also has an En-suite with access to the upstairs lanai, mirroring the Master Suite.
When Big Island day adventures start to inevitably call your name, you can watch our resident Honu (Green Sea Turtles) play along the sparkling Puako bay or try your hand at snorkeling or surfing. There’s also plenty of beach rental shops where you can pick up equipment for kitesurfing, swimming, kayaking, hiking, or fishing activities. This beach neighborhood is welcoming and laid-back, which makes for an idyllic family destination or romantic getaway.
