The property is lovely. Fantastic views as it sit on top of a hill and overlook a lush valley. Recently built, spacious, well kept. Plenty of amenities (pool, bbq, pizza oven, large kitchen, towel warmers) and plenty of common spaces to hang out. A little out of the way from the main highway but quite close to a village with supermarket, bar, gelateria, and restaurants. Cristina and Ettore who look after the property are extremely responsive and helpful - they definitely made the visit more relaxing and Cristina cooked several delicious meals for us. The only drawback is the rather narrow, gravel, steep down-hill driveway to the house and the somewhat narrow gate at the end the driveway - you would definitely be better off renting a car w 4 wheel drive and power steering. - Charissa H.

Ilaria
Europe / Italy / Tuscany
Villa Ilaria is set on a beautiful estate just a mile away from Palaia, a charming village between Pisa and Florence.
Overview
The restoration of the property was recently completed, and it is composed of two separate country houses next to one another. Both houses enjoy breathtaking views of the typical Tuscan landscape. The main villa and the annex are both on two floors and they have a common contemporary style with some traditional pieces and architectural details, such as wood beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, which bring warm touches to the spaces. The main attractions of Villa Ilaria are the high end finishings and amenities that provide the utmost comfort.
Villa Ilaria’s units are perfect for large groups of friends or multi-generational family gatherings. Conveniently located in short distance to the nearby village where you can find groceries, butcher, gas station, takeout pizza, sundry store and several good restaurants. On the premises, the estate has a vegetable garden which provides seasonable produce -- ask the gardener to pick some for you!

Reviews
Loved this place! There were 9 of us, parents, adult kids, and young grandkids. There was plenty of room for everyone and the great thing was that there were so many different gathering areas if someone needed to find a quiet place. Unfortunately, British Airways stranded us in London so we arrived a day late. Cristina, the property manager was so kind and gracious. She continually stayed in touch letting us know that she was on standby for whenever we arrived. She and her sister had prepared dinner for us and had to put everything on hold for a day. It was still wonderful! The house was clean, modern, comfy beds, all the amenities you could hope for. Wifi was sporadic, but seems that is typical for Italy. We were so centrally located, so each day we went a different direction: Florence, Cinque Terre, Lucca, San Gimignano and one day we stayed around just so we could enjoy the pool and beautiful view after a trip to the market which was about a 20 min. drive. Cristina was great for anything we needed. She shopped for all the basic necessities for us, so upon arrival we could prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks. That was huge for us getting in so late in the day. She is also ready to set up tours and activities for whatever you may desire. Wish we could have stayed longer to see it all and do some of the wine tours. That was not a priority with the little ones :) I would highly recommend staying here if you love tranquility and beauty all around. Do be sure to read all of the instructions, which we did not do at first and didn't realize the dryer had a water reservoir that needed to be emptied. There is a complete book of information and instructions. Every detail has been covered. It is a warm and welcoming home away from home! - Steph J.
